I admit that I’ve never watched the Bachelor or the Bachelorette – until this season. For some inexplicable reason I was sucked like an unfortunate dust ball at the wrong end of an industrial vacuum into the drama of this season’s Bachelorette.

I watched every single episode and cheered for the adorable vintner and the even more adorable construction manager – aka Ben and J.P.

Having a bit of a thing for a good Joseph Gordon Levitt type smile, J.P. was fun to root for. I was infinitely gratified when JP and Ashley walked happily ever after into the sunset.

But  on to more important things….

Caridad Pineiro (author extraordinaire) poses an interesting question about self publishing – http://www.caridad.com/2011/08/09/to-self-publish-or-not-to-self-publish-that-is-the-question/

Random House wants to know if men can write romance – http://www.romanceatrandom.com/men-can-they-write-romance-novels-giveaway/

I’d say, of course they can because women can write horror, mystery, suspense, sci-fi and so on. Gender doesn’t matter. Writing skill does. But what do you think?

And…would you buy an ereader from an erotic romance publisher? Ellora’s Cave is releasing an ereader in September of this year. http://booksprung.com/erotica-publisher-elloras-cave-plans-to-launch-its-own-ereader-device

Have fun this weekend and happy writing!
