Your heroine gets a phone call from the police. Apparently, a dead body has been found half buried in a farmer’s field and the corpse is holding your heroine’s business card in their hand.
Who is the dead body?
What’s the connection to your heroine?
What does she do for a living?
What happens?
Who is your heroine’s romantic interest? For example, is it the lead detective on the case? Or maybe it’s the brother or sister of the person who died. Who actually killed the person and how does your heroine prove it? This could get super creepy super fast. For example, maybe it’s a cult killing and the business card is a sign that they’re coming after your heroine next. If so, why?
