This week with the floods has been completely crazy. Roads are closed, schools were closed, and everyone’s life was turned upside down.
I didn’t manage to put pen to paper and write a single word of fiction the entire week.
I wrote my 500 words last Wednesday, Thursday the skies had opened and we were bracing ourselves for the flood.
Today, is the first day since last Wednesday that I’ve been able to write and I must admit I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed. I did manage 500 words, phew!
So…the sun is out, the sky is blue and we’re drying out.
I want to thank everyone for their kind words of support over the past week. My home was left undamaged by the flood except for a small leak in the roof. It’s nothing compared to what so many families have endured and continue to endure as they clean up and rebuild.
