Your heroine is looking for her mother. Why?
Her mother isn’t what she thinks she is. For example, maybe her mother is a witch or an assassin. Who is her mother and what happens when she finds her?
This simple storyline can be taken in a multitude of directions. For example, your heroine might be a vampire and her mother is a fairy assassin. Your heroine might fall in love with a fairy while she’s trying to find her mother. Instant conflict.
Or you could take a contemporary slant with it and have a mother that’s remarried and has a hidden past. Your heroine could fall for her “step-brother” and have issues dealing with her new family.
So much fun!
And…
Happy Mother’s Day
