On this Easter Holiday one cannot help but think about rabbits. When I think about rabbits my thoughts inevitably turn to Alice in Wonderland. It has to be one of the most wonderful and timeless stories ever told.
So for today’s story starter, imagine you are sitting on your front porch and you see a rabbit run past. What’s unique about the rabbit? What happens to it? What do you do?
Maybe it has a ribbon around its neck. Maybe it stands up and talks to you. Maybe, the ground opens up right in front of you and a large hand reaches out and grabs that rabbit. Maybe someone walks by and is attacked by by the rabbit.
Start with the rabbit and go from there.
Hi! Im a huge fan,I LOVE your site. I’m a writer, well aspiring anyway. I look forward to your story starters every week. I just wanted to ask a question. I have this story idea in mind but its only an idea. When I try to plot and plan, I get stuck and discouraged. Any advice? Thank You!!!
Hi Jen,
Thank you for your kind words! I started to respond and realized there’s too much to say so I’m going to publish the reply as a post on Tuesday. There are actually many things you can do to get unstuck and feel excited about your story idea. I can’t wait to share them with you!
